Met Office Unified Model

Background

The UM (Met Office Unified Model) is a Global Circulation Model (GCM) we are adapting in collaboration with the UK Met Office for the study of exoplanets, initially hot Jupiters (Jovian sized planets close to their parent stars) but ultimately for the study of habitable terrestrial planets.

These pages will tell you how to run a basic tutorial job, and a set of benchmarks leading up to a model of HD 209458b (a well studied hot Jupiter).

Version

Version 7.9 and 8.2 of the Met Office Unified Model are currently installed on Zen.

Vn 7.9: Using the New Dynamics Dynamical Core (and outputs using only STASH).

Vn 8.2: Uses a developmental version of the ENDGame dynamical core (and outputs using .dx format).

Can this list be changed to a numerated list? I have rigged it using letters to be ordered.
